To address the emerging wireless products' market in India, Buffalo has entered into an exclusive distribution contract with Supertron Electronics Ltd (SEL). Supertron is already distributing Buffalo products in India for the last one year, and wireless products will be an addition to its existing portfolio. To distribute wireless products, Supertron will use its own channel as well as leverage strengths of individual networking partners. The company will make efforts to increase its presence in smaller cities, and work closely with channel partners. However, the overall process will depend on the product response from the market.
Buffalo plans to tap the consumption potential of the Indian market for these products. "We always believe in a consumer driven market, and hence, strive to combine pricing with good feature based on advance technology," said Akihito Kondo, Group Head (APAC sales) of Buffalo.
To expand its business, Buffalo will offer a variety of products in the Indian market. In the wireless products category, it will primarily address the emerging SME/SMB and SOHO user segments. As per the company, its solutions suit the business requirements of these segments. The company is giving more emphasis on warranty issues based on their own set of technical and online support teams.
Commenting on this new tie-up, V K Bhandari, CMD, SEL, said, "With 34 years of networking and computer peripheral experience, Buffalo has proven its commitment to delivering innovative, best-of-breed solutions. We have been working with the company for the last one year, and hope to keep up the association in the coming days too." |
