Anjali a leading NGO based in Kolkata, working for more than 20 years to secure large-scale systemic changes in the mental health field, by making mental health institutions, systems and communities intersectional and inclusive.

This year Supertron join hands with Anjali to organize a Puja Parikrama during Durga Puja 2022. The residents of the mental hospitals visited the pandals and the idols. The rationale behind organizing this day out is to carve out a window for the residents to interact with the outside world, socialize, and communicate with known and unknown faces as well as their right to pray.

After visiting 6 pandals, it was time to return back to their shelter. Lunch was served which was relished by each one of them. Though it was half a day of their outing, the outcome of this initiative can be seen in their happiness, their zest, their eagerness to earn, their ability to mingle with the people in the society, their ability to take decisions about what they want to wear and whom they want to worship, their ability to recall some of the pleasant memories of their lives before their illness, and most importantly, to mingle amongst themselves and care for each other.
