Every year India requires about five Crore units of blood, out of which only 2.5 Crore units of blood are available.

In our country, around 75% of this collection comes through voluntary donations. In West Bengal, fore runner in national blood donation movement, 85% of its that is around 13 lakh units of annual demand comes from donation camps.

Understanding the gravity of the situation, Supertron Electronics Pvt Ltd have decided to organize Blood Donation Camp as their CSR project on World Blood Donors Day with the support of Association of Voluntary Blood Donors, West Bengal and COMPASS an IT trade association of eastern India. Camp was held on 14th June 2022 to commemorate world Blood Donor Day. There are more than 100 donor participated and donated blood for a noble cause.

Anjali a leading NGO based in Kolkata, working for more than 20 years to secure large-scale systemic changes in the mental health field, by making mental health institutions, systems and communities intersectional and inclusive.

This year Supertron join hands with Anjali to organize a Puja Parikrama during Durga Puja 2022. The residents of the mental hospitals visited the pandals and the idols. The rationale behind organizing this day out is to carve out a window for the residents to interact with the outside world, socialize, and communicate with known and unknown faces as well as their right to pray.

After visiting 6 pandals, it was time to return back to their shelter. Lunch was served which was relished by each one of them. Though it was half a day of their outing, the outcome of this initiative can be seen in their happiness, their zest, their eagerness to earn, their ability to mingle with the people in the society, their ability to take decisions about what they want to wear and whom they want to worship, their ability to recall some of the pleasant memories of their lives before their illness, and most importantly, to mingle amongst themselves and care for each other.

CWBTA Is an active Apex Body of Traders, operating for more than one and half decades, representing various Trade Associations of West Bengal, which number above 60 as of date. Towards this purpose, “CWBTA TRADE EXCELLANCE AWARDS 2021” been launched to salute the leaders of the trade. Supertron Electronics Pvt Ltd extended support to recognize the success of entrepreneurs who have done tremendous work in their respective fields and I feel that this is an excellent platform to award them. Supertron was the Platinum sponsorer of the event. The award function held in JW Marriott, Kolkata on 27th February 2021.
